Important NOTE: The medical surgical masks of type IIR with splash protection according to (EN 14683: 2019 + AC: 2019) with CE, as well as FFP2 masks (EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009 (NR)) with CE offer a significantly higher protective effect than hygiene masks or normal community masks. However, the prerequisite is that they also filter particles below 1 μm well and that the products are certified which have test reports from authorized test centers and that they have a valid CE and the masks are used correctly.
